Collection: Jana Wood
Jana Wood (Ngati Raukawa, Ngati Kikopiri, Scottish/Irish) is an award-winning semi-abstract painter whose works are held in collections worldwide, including the NZ Arthouse Trust collection at Pah Homestead, Tamaki Makaurau. She holds a BVA from AUT and a PgDip from Elam, Auckland University.
Jana has been exhibiting (both solo and group shows) throughout Aotearoa for 15 years. Her work has twice been written about by acclaimed Art Historian and Curator Nina Dyer, and she has been selected as a finalist in many of New Zealand’s prominent art competitions such as The New Zealand Contemporary Art Awards, The Molly Morpeth, The Waiheke Art Awards where she was runner-up, and the Estuary Art Awards. She is a member of the ground-breaking artist-run collective “Mothermother Archive”, and her work features in the latest Art New Zealand magazine.
