Collection: Mandy Rodger
Characterised by fluid moves and sweeping energy flows, Mandy Rodger’s work immerses the viewer in the motion and fluidity of her brushstrokes sweeping across the canvas. She works spontaneously and intuitively as she explores colour, space and the materiality of the paint.
In 2015, leaving a career as a lawyer, Mandy began studying painting at Browne School of Art in Auckland where she completed the four year-long painting program. She works from Studio 6, a central Auckland studio she shares with 5 other practicing artists, and regularly showcases her paintings in solo and group exhibitions.
Mandy was selected as a double finalist in the National Contemporary Art Awards 2019 and a finalist in the National Cleveland Art Awards 2021, the Aspiring Art Prize 2025, 2024, 2023 and 2022 and the New Zealand Painting and Printmaking Awards 2025.
