Collection: Rachel Spillane

Rachel Spillane is an Auckland based artist - working in both acrylic painting and photography. After several years as a professional photographer, she has returned to her foundational passion for painting and drawing, working from Studio 6 Artists, in Auckland’s CBD. 

Rachel is currently developing a series that explores Auckland’s architectural heritage, beginning with her own neighbourhood in the CBD and expanding throughout the city’s heritage sites. Her visual narrative captures both detail and atmosphere, drawing from her own photographic reference as much as direct observation.

Rachel’s paintings are held in private collections across New Zealand, 
Australia, and the UK, her work is also held in the Parliamentary Collection in Wellington, marking public recognition of her work.
