This artwork is from Hannah's latest collection of paintings called 'Essence'.  Here is the exhibition blurb

‘Essence’ is an invitation to return to the core of things - to pause, be present, and connect with the subtle details within each painting.  In these works, the artist explores the essence of her creativity through colour, texture, and form. Rather than telling a story or guiding emotion, these paintings offer space for the viewer to discover their own interpretation. 

Hannah's process is intuitive and grounded in the moment.  She paints with a loose plan, responding instinctively to colour and composition, letting the texture of the paint guide her hand.  Abstraction allows her to bypass narrative and move directly into presence - both in the making and in the viewing. 

Each piece is shaped by limitations: restricted palettes, simple forms, the push and pull between control and spontaneity. Within those constraints, the artist finds freedom - a clarity that reveals itself through process.  Echoing the Post-Impressionist interest in painting not just a scene, but in the paint itself, the thick, singular hues in these works become sculptural, celebrating the very materiality of the medium. The act of painting becomes a meditation, a quiet way to calm the chaos of daily life.
